It's great - I use it all the time, for all sorts of things. I even have my paypal debit card I use instead of my bank's debit card. And I earn something like 4.8% interest on the money I have in my paypal account. |

hate it...I am a business owner, why would I pay that much to be able to take payments through internet or phone when I can do it at my monthly rate through MY credit card merchant provider. If I didn't have that option, however, I would use paypal because it is convenient and secure...I would have to give in and pay the finance charge. |

I have always enjoyed it. My best friend is a Passion Parties Consultant and she uses PayPal exclusively for all her credit card orders. You have to pay attention to what percentages and fees they charge and plan accordingly. |

Pay Pal and EBay are the same company now and both are getting worse at customer service. Get a throw away credit card or use a credit card if you want to buy on line or use a debit card from a bank so you can recover your money when you get ripped off. EBay is less then worthless they have a Phis-hing scam going around on yahoo and if you need to talk to a live person they are in Omaha Nebraska and it is long distance to call them because they have no 1-800 number. I had a problem and called to cancel my account with them and they refused to help or close my account. The only way to close an Pay Pal or eBay account is on a computer and it takes up to 90 days so if you get scammed and someone gets your information you are screwed and liable.
Pay Pal is the biggest rip off. They provide nothing and charge a lot for the nothing you get if you have a credit debit ot throw away credit card why would you ever need pay-pal?. |

Fees are really high, but just like ebay, they can pretty much charge whatever they want to...it's the site of choice for electronic auction payments. |

I bought a $425 item off ebay. I had a problem and filed a complaint through paypal because that how I paid for the item. I won the dispute and paypal informed me to return items to the seller for a full refund.I returned the items and upon delivery paypal sent me an email stating that my refund did not qualify for paypal to reimburse me but I would need to collect from the seller and they would assist me if they could. I would have kept the items and had them fixed for $75 before I sent them back with no guaranty . If the seller has no money in there account they cant force them to pay.Now I have no items and I'm out $425. I found out that the seller started a new account with paypal and was receiving fund through it. I contacted paypal and they said they could not touch that account since it was not the account i filed against. |
