It is possable that it was dropped if it has just recently been taken out of storage to be sold. Is 1 bottle worth $2 if so who is ripping who off? I personally feel that if you dont give the guy the benefit of the doubt for the sake of $1 and give negative feedback that could potentially effect his livelyhood (as alot of people use ebay to generate essential income nowadays) you are being a bit anal and a bit cruel. |

I would go to the EBay forum and ask...they would know a lot better, and would also advise you on how to deal with this kind of situation. When you go to "My EBay" Just click on the community option. That will take you to the forum options, either post this as a question there, or search for it in the forums, sometimes you can get more help through searching then posting. But I haven't asked a question there that wasn't answered in a helpful manner yet. So, good luck, sorry I couldn't help you better, I am kind of a new-be to EBay : ) |

Whatever you do, wait until you get positive feedback before you leave him anything. It's better to leave him no feedback at all than to risk getting yourself a neutral or negative just because that's what you gave him. Also, he should cut your bid in half since you aren't getting what you bought. Check his items for sale in the next few days and see if he relists the bottle. I suppose even if he does relist it you can't really do much to prove he was lying anyway. It does sound like bs but what can you do? |

I agree with you,,, the same thing happened to me with some plates, i got them cheaper than what she wanted to sell, and told me she dropped them both. If I had been on my toes I would have ask for the pieces. Wait and see what feed back you get, before you post. |

yep..you got scammed... Since there was only one bottle...tell him to send you back half the money.
Or ask for a refund and when you get it don't send back the bottle... tell him you droped it and it's gone. |

Did he offer you any type of refund?? Technically he should have either offered you 1/2 your money back (only $1.00, but it's the principal of it) or for you to retract your bid entirely. Check to see if he relists the other bottle...you don't have to do your feedback immediately. It sounds kind of fishy to me. |

I agree, it is definitely too much of a coincidence. I'm not familiar enough with eBay to recommend any course of action for you, but if there is some way to protest what he is doing, you definitely should. Good luck! |

he didn't deliver
in the end, it doesn't matter much why he didn't deliver
I'd say you only owe him $1.00 and your feedback should report the truth

Tell Ebay on the guy. If he tries selling it again...you can certainly make noise about it. Then again it only $2. But its not the money...its the principle. |
