What does a third party mean?
for example: The distribution center is operated by a third party

An outsider; a business or personal invitee or a party with absolutely no connection to an insured who may become a claimant under a form of public liability coverage because of injury or property damage alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the insured.

A party that isn't you or the person you are in contact with. In other words, an outsider.

Doctor Skullthumper
Doesn't have quite as many girls or as much booze as the first and second parties, on account of those parties using up all the resources.

Means that it's not directly owned by the company they distribute for. Third part is indirect, and not tied to the first party. For example:

1st party is myself
3rd party is the moving company that is loading up my things and moving them across state.

Miss S
there is someone else that has some say in what goes on with the distribution center. but it depends on how it's used. cause in politics a third party is just that..... another party.

sqhuaiwnn
A company or person who works for the person you are doing business with. Like i send you an email but i send it through a friend, that friend is the third party.

third party
–noun 1. any party to an incident, case, quarrel, etc., who is incidentally involved.
2. (in a two-party system) a political party formed as a dissenting or independent group from members of one or both of the two prevailing major parties

hilittlegirlimstewiedontbescared
I believe it means unknown party or less popular but I'm not sure.

not the giver or recipient but a seperate person

any other operation not mentioned. i.e.: the package was shipped by a third party. It had nothing to do with you and it could be anyone. It is just an outside company

Becceh L
A third party is actually refering to a person outside of a particular situation. For example: If someone asks for a third partys' opinion, they are asking for someones opinion who is not involved in the project (or situation or w/e)

the third party is the party in 3rd place which is actually behind the 2nd place party

Small Buisness thats not as Popular as others...

Like Ronna's Shoes, never heard of it? No where close to Nike Shoes.

I might Ronna's shoes up lol... thats my point. It's 3rd Party.

Not the buyer or seller but someone else.
For example if you rented from Acme Management company you or Acme might not own the buildings. Roadrunner Enterprises might be the owner and referred to as a Third Party since they aren't a signer on the leases.

chester1965
a person who is not a party to a contract or a transaction, but has an involvement (such as one who is a buyer from one of the parties, was present when the agreement was signed or made an offer that was rejected). The third party normally has no legal rights in the matter, unless the contract was made for the third party's benefit.

like an outsider or someone from outside the company, idk just guessing...

MUSICtoMYears♫♪
its usually a smaller, indivisual group rather than a big large majority.

Marlee

Someone who is not involved with either side. Like on Deal or No Deal they say a third party has filled the cases so someone else did it.

MasterSheff

It's an outside party that is responsible for the people who provide goods or service with the customer. If either the provider or customer has an issue they take it up with the third party, kind of like a neutral point between the two.

The Great Poomba
It means that the distribution center is operated by a company other than the company you would expect to deal with directly. Like if your computer was acer and the distribution center was some place in China that was unrelated to acer but contracted out through them.

Marte
no clue.
but in sports it means theres to many
people on one person!
wow im so educated.

tk
wow im actually not sure but i think it's someone or a group that is not directly affiliated with the people they are working with
