We really are sorry about this. Know something, they don't give a sh-----t and someone else did some tall talking to keep your job.

Look at your boss's "we need to talk" conversation as an opportunity to listen and learn. If you need to clear the air about n aspect of your work, this is a time to do just that - just remember to be respectful and professional. This could also be a good time to set new goals, reassure your boss that you're the right person for the job, and that you are there to make her job easier.

Well you won't know until you talk to her, but if you already have a sneaking suspicion you have done something wrong, than you may have to answer for it. Be prepared to face the music. On the other hand, it could be good news or simply a new project that your boss wants you to do! Good luck. |

When I did that to my employees it was over a concern or their attendance. I would generally prefer to do this so they weren't suprised if they had any 'write up's which were mandated by company policy. Also, I investigated any complaints and got both sides of the story before I made a determination and counseling.
