A money order is basically a "check" which guarantees the funds in the amount of whatever the check is written for. Money orders only go as high as $1000, so you're definitely in the money order range.
Normally, you're best bet is purchasing it from a financial institution (it has to be wherever you have your checking or savings account). If you do not have a bank account anywhere... then your best bet is going to:
the post office
money gram
a supermarket
or even walmart...

Any bank, and many commercial businesses, will sell you a money order.
You go into the bank and say "I'd like a money order for <whatever sum you owe> made out to <whatever person or company you are buying from>
They will create the document, and charge you a premium for doing so, some relatively minor percentage of the ammount on the money order. You get the money order and a receipt.
You send it, and you get your merchandise. |

money orders are like checks for people who dont have/dont want to use a bank. There are several different ways to get money orders:
1- go to yr bank. If you have an account, they will usually give them to you for free.
2- go to a wawa. (or some other convenience store comperable)
3- Some supermarkets have em too.

A money order is kind of like a check. You can get them at a post office. You just give then the money and you send the "check" to the people in the mail. The people at the post office will be able to tell you more. Unfortinately the post office will not be open tomorrow. I believe you can get them at the bank too (not that the bank will be open either)... sorry... good luck! |

a bank or a gas station would have those. basically you take your money and buy a money order from some financial institution. Its like puting a guarantee on your money. There is a small fee as well for getting the money order. |
