A pack rat is a small rodent which lives in the souther area of the United states. They may live other places but I have only seen them in Arizona. They collect shiny bits of things and lots of useless junk and take it back to their nests. their nests are incredibly large mounds of debris with holes in it for the rodent... except for their colour they look almost exactly like mickey mouse.
Or a Pack rat is someone who does not throw things away, they store even the most miniscule things for no logical reason, bottles, plastic bags, pieces of paper.
Someone could always exaggerate about being a pack rat if your the type who is holding on to childhood things like baseball gloves and sports equipment and its clogging space in the garage or house. |

oh. haha. that's when someone has a lot of things and never likes to throw anything away. it's not meant as an insult, it's sort of like a little joke. like for example, if you have a lot of old things but you don't want to throw them away, that's called being a pack rat. |
