Make yourself a flyer about you and the things that make you a trustworthy person. Visit all your neighbors and share it with them that you are available to walk/ feed and care for their dog / animals daily or when they are on vacation or out of town. You could make a listing of all the things you are available to do like possibly mowing lawns or shoveling snow. We have some young people in our neighborhood that have made a good job of their talents in this way.
You could even go so far as to put your flyer in the grocery stores or where you shop. If you don't know the person, you may want to take a parent with you the first time. You will more than likely need transportation, if you don't know them. |

Do things around the house and ask your parents for an allowance. Cut grass or run errands. You are only thirteen, take it from me, don't grow up too quick. Enjoy being a kid. Don't worry about getting a cell phone, plus your parents should still buy things for you that you need like clothes or shoes or food, so don't worry about making money or paying bills until you have to. |
