I would honestly not expect to get more than $15-- 1 child, 3 total hours-- that is $5/ hour per child. When I babysat (10+ years ago), I typically charged $2 per hour, plus $1 per hour for each additional child. |

Usually kids under 14 charge 8 dollars an hour, 14 and up is 10 dollars. So for two weeks that would be thirty dollars. I definitly wouldn't charge more than 10 dollars because its only one child and she is old enough where you don't have to do anything other than entertain her. |

it depends on three aspects
1) coz ur neighbor, u have helped them so being a good neighbour u should not charge anything. u may also need help from them in future. charging neighbors for such little thing is not fair deal. is there any agreement between u twos for charging. if not then u should not charge anything.
2) if u had an agreement, then u can charge according to there ability to pay. thing of what they can pay resonably to u, so that neighbors relationship does not harm. u can consider how much they spent, if they had been availing the services of third party.
3) if u r busy person, and u have a time value and u spent time for their baby from valuable time, then u can also charge them. the amount should be, what's ur time value. in other words how much u could earn in same time in other job/work.
amount should not only fair to thme but also to u too. coz u r not a free available person. in future u may have to pay for such kind of services. |
