What is an oxymoron?

Answer_Guy
Oxymoron

Combination of two seemingly contradictory or incongruous words, as in the line by the English poet Sir Philip Sidney in which lovers are said to speak “of living deaths, dear wounds, fair storms, and freezing fires.â€

A paradox reduced to two words, usually in an adjective-noun ("eloquent silence") or adverb-adjective ("inertly strong") relationship, and is used for effect, to emphasize contrasts, incongruities, hypocrisy, or simply the complex nature of reality. Examples: wise fool, ignorantly learned, laughing sadness, pious hate.

Lucky Me
Its putting 2 words together that are seemingly different. Such as girly man, military intelligence, thunderous silence.

jamaicangirl
mournful optimist, sharp, foolish, dull

Two or more words that oppose eachother that are used in the same phrase.
Eg. Microsoft Works, you're pretty ugly, ethnic cleansing.

molir00
it's a expression composed of combined contrasts (e.g. "mournful optimist") Get the idea? :-)
