Sad to say that some people think Sexual Harassment is when a person tells you that you look nice that day.. How stupid is that.. I love to hear I look nice... People have gone overboard with this thing... Sexual Harassment is when it is a clear message to you that someone is wanting a sexual favor for a good review or to keep your job... or if you boss or someone over you touches you in an inappropriate way.. Being told I like you or lets have dinner is not.. unless it does not stop after you tell them to stop.... Keep it real folks... Know when and where you can or cannot cross the line.. :) |

Sexual harassment is defined as the unwanted sexual advances of someone. Whether it be verbal, or physical. There also is also something called a third party sexual harassment where you overhear somebody speak to somebody else in a sexual matter that you consider offensive. |

There are two kinds:
quid-pro-quo which is where like your boss tells you that if you sleep with him you get a promotion or the assignment you want.
then there's hostile work environment which is what most folks on here are talking about. unwelcome behavior of a sexual nature.
the case law on all this is very complex and sometimes conflicting. |

whether it is sexual harrassment or not is down to you as an individual ( ie what YOU consider obtrusive too yourself). |

depends on who you are talking to |

Anything of a risque nature that makes YOU uncomfortable in a public setting. For example: rude jokes, pictures, offensive emails, stares, back rubs ... you have to be your own judge. |

It is a defense mechanism the women invented to get rid of unwelcome attentions when they are not interested in that person.
Certainly, it she likes the person, most likely she welcome it and therefore it is sexual harrasment.
Sometimes it is ridiculous and exagerated, to the point that some companies consider inappropiate to invite somebody for drinks and recommend in that case to invite for a coffee, also lunch instead of dinner ...
