that's actually kind of offensive. For the same reasons why it's impolite to remark about the features of minorities as slurs and derogatory nicknames, it's just as hurtful to refer to poor whites as hillbillies and the like. |

You go to a walmart and it pretty much shows the society that you are in. I have been to some Walmarts that are full of beautiful people, but i have also been to some that were full of not so good looking. |

I prefer Target. Target stores seem to be better run, and the employees seem to be a lot sharper. Sometimes when I enter a Walmart store it is like revisiting Night of the Living Dead. |

I live in major city and I don't think I've ever seen a actual hillbilly in our Wal-marts, but I can agree that there are some really "unusaul" types there, but then again I often see those "usual" types in a most expensive and largest mall in my state. Nice wording, made me smile. |

Sam Walton's Wal-Mart stores offer products
at an affordable price to families that live
on low income or have multiple kids.
At the same time, stores like this have killed
the local mom and pop stores that were once a
staple in many small towns in middle America.
I can't debate the fact that larger chain stores
offer products at a lower price, but consider the
ultimate price - Underpaid workers and third world
nations that pay people pennies on the dollar to
make these products. |

Lower Income, Living with out Health Insurance and Dental Insurance, they must make their dollars go as far as they can. Walmart buys in bulk and can sell cheaper than other stores and Walmart also chooses to build their stores where they will service the most clients.
The poor are everywhere, they are always with us. |

Walmart is a store that sells just about everything, and in a range of prices that almost anyone can afford. Because of that, you're more likely to see shoppers that aren't as educated, fortunate or priveledged as the mainstream of society. People who are toothless often don't have the mental, educational, financial, etc., means to cover their dental needs. For one reason or another, they just can't get it together. The poor who shop at Walmart are actually able to, on occasion, take their family 'Walmarting' for a few fun trinkets. Walmart is also a place where people who are challenged in some way can find employment and health benefits for their families. |

They shop there in hopes of hooking up with someone like them. Imagine meeting someone where you love to shop, they got a job with excellent pay, great health and dental plans, and an employee discount. |
