Army and Marines seem to die a lot. Air Force is for dorks. I spent five years in the US Navy. More likely to die or be wounded in non combat situation as opposed to fighting. The Navy gave me skills in a variety of career fields. Never join the Navy "undesignated."

If by "best" you mean most efficient and well-respected, the common answer would likely be the Marines. Of course, each branch of the military is designed for a different primary purpose, so to compare them in such a manner is something of an "apples and oranges" situation.
