first, write down all key terms and concepts, then wait a day and read the chapter or whatever then wait another day and study over everything again. the idea is that we only take in about 30% of what we read. So if you look at the same stuff around three times you'll get about 90% of it. |

If you really are studying hard and can't remember what you have studied you may have a medical condition that is interfering with you. If so, ask your parents or your guidance counselor to have you tested for learning disabilities. If you have them you can be treated and helped. Good luck. |

Well, grammar lessons would be a start. But if I were you I would join a study group. Studying by yourself can only take you so far, and if you really don't understand what you're reading then it probably won't do you too much good. Tutoring can be helpful, but working in groups helps to look at each subject and assignment at a different angle, which means you might even have a better chance of knocking out at least a couple of questions without any sweat. Talk to your parents, friends, or councelor ever, and see what you can do about arranging a weekly if not daily study group and see where it goes from there. And hey, it's even a good place to make friends that you would least expect, possibly an enemy even. And that sounds to me, in itself, an invaluable incentive to try. |

you might ask the teacher to give you a study guide or some study questions and make sure you study a little at a time and not gram - most people do not remember what they gram and need sleep so get your sleep and look for help I bet you are an excellent student |

1)The most important thing is to love your subject. Love what you're doing/studying and you're gonna get motivated to pass it somehow. Find interesting stuffs about your subject. e.g.: shakespeare? think bout movies. Many things that you can learn from it.
2) Understand what you're studying. Not just memorizing. If you can't understand it, you won't remember it even you memorized it for weeks, or months.
3)Learn to do notes. Effective ones. Need not to be too precise as you won't have enough time to restudy it all over again. The best notes will help you to create a mind mapping on what you have study.
4)Study in a group (better that you don't choose best/close friends or you'll end up chatting).Find someone who's determined to study and discuss with you. Find someone that's better will help alot.
5) Don't go for last minute cramming. It won't work. Trust me.
6) Rest well before exam. Exercise, not vigorously but enough to energize your body and brain.
All the best!=) |

Take down main points of stuff and sleep early before the exam, and I do mean very early :D.
Then wake up about two hours before your normal waking up time and memorize the main points. And maybe if you still got time go through the whole topic. |
