SALARY is wat u'l ge in any case from the company. INCENTIVE is wat u'll be getting only after fulfilling the targets or giving out more output or extra effort for which the company pays u extra to that of ur salary. |

Salary is your base pay.
Incentives will vary on how much you sell / do. There are countless incentives. Depends on your employer. |

Salary is a guaranteed wage that you make. An incentive is like bonus in which you have to achieve a specific goal in order to receive it.
Ex. 1 A girl works in a clothing store and makes a salary of $30,000 per year and normally works Mon - Fri from 8 - 3 but occassionally puts in overtime. Even though she puts in overtime, she doesn't earn any extra for doing so, since she is on salary.
Ex. 2: Same girl is given an incentive by her boss. Boss says if she sells more than $1000 of clothing per week for 1 month straight, she will give her a bonus of $250.
Ex. 3: Another incentive: Boss says if you put in an extra hour of work every day this week, you can take the following Monday off with pay.
Hope this helps! |

Salary is guaranteed, while incentive is something extra based on performance. An example of incentives would be commissions of sales people. |

A salary is the money you gross monthly or annually. An incentive is a one-shot bonus, usually for hiring, or for something valuable to the company you work for, such as a sales incentive, meaning a bonus for the most sales in the territory, etc. |

Lets take a pro football player for example. H may get 2 million a year in salary if hes nothing but average. Then maybe $200,000 incentive for leading league in passing and another $ 100,000 incentive for peeing in a cup and being drug free all season. |

salary is the basic emoluments one receives per month as per the letter of appointment.
Incentive is additional financial benefits one receives over and above the salary, depending upon the job performances if it is laid down as one of the terms in the letter of appointment.
Incentives are the prerogatives of the Management and are changed from time to time depending upon the necessities.
Normally Marketing staff do have incentives if they perform over and above their given targets in Sales.
Office staff also do get some type of incentives when innovative work/suggestion is placed before management.
Incentives are all varied in type and circumstances according to the work prospects involved.
Management gives incentives mainly to promote high value performances from their employees. A sort of added attraction to gain best results. |

Salary is the base pay your company will pay you. Incentive is a bonus that is paid in addition to the salary as a reward for reaching certain milestones. If the milestone is not met, no incentive pay will be added. |
