akrash14 | What is the eassy start up bussines? |
I am a US Marine, about to finish my contract. I have a grand mother and uncle in very sick health and neither one of them can qualify for medical ( legal status) and I need alot of money to suport them. I was thinking to open my own bussines, or may be it is better to try to find a job, since my time and finances are limited ( about 6 month and 10,000 dollars). Figured I would ask around for any suggestions. I speak 2 forign languages(russian and hebrow), worked for a plumbing company befor I joined and have 52 credits towards my bachelors degree. I also did 4 years in marine corps as an infantry. Please let me know if you have any ideas/ suggestions.
Thank you very much. Alex |

Perhaps you could apply for a position with a defense contractor providing security in Iraq? I hear they make a lot of money, and your experience as a US Marine is probably coveted in the industry.
The construction industry may still be booming in your part of the country. If so, skilled laborers on federal projects can earn approx. $40 per hour in Davis Bacon wages.
Crab fishermen make a lot of money, but then it is considered by some to be the most dangerous job. Check out the Discovry Channel show if you're interested in this kind of work.
A good saleperson can always make lots of money, especially if they sell big ticket items like real estate, cars, financing, boats. |

I think that an easy business to start up is a janitorial service. It requires very little overhead. All you need is a vaccuum cleaner, a bucket, a mop, a squeegee, a feather duster, a business phone number or cell phone and reliable transportation. Get that and you're good to go! My husband and I started ours with less than $500 in 1986 and our business is now grossing over $27,000 a month and we have 11 employees. Since you're a Marine you know what hard work is, so I probably don't have to tell you about that part! Good luck in all you do, and thank you for your service to our country and for keeping it free. Its Good 2 know that u r so concern for them; I pray for their good health. Also, starting a business is a bit risky venture as i suppose you are not in a position 2 handle any sort of risk at this stage. So better start up with some job atleast for some time and in the mean while keep looking for some good business oppertunity as well. when U find one suitable for you QUIT your job and become a BusinessMan. GOD Bless.... |

get up with some service oriented work. Choose the work which you can do faster. don't look at hte work that interest you but the work that is in demand. Adjust to demand rather than likings. I think you got a good amount of advise in this seession |

Let me ask you a question. If I could show you something that made absolute total sense, where you didn't have to stock, sell or deliver products to your friends, there was a fully refundable membership fee that you couldn't loose; yet; you could add an additional $20-30,000 to your income this year with many people reaching a six to seven figure income, if it wasn't Amway or any multi-level scheme... would you spend 30-40 minutes with me and have a look? Contact me through my 360 page and I will show you |

Although plumbers can make a very good wage, the owners make the high dollars and I’m guessing that you may not be licensed in a locality to begin your own plumbing business and need to work under a licensed plumber.
Your language skills would seem to be your best personal asset. Of course that depends on your credibility to use them. Such ability would be valuable to some company working in the Eastern European countries. Of course governmental service for language translation also comes to mind. Either should provide a high level wage.
If either of these language possibilities were to occur, they would likely provide spare time to work on the internet. That is, developing contacts in the foreign countries with which your translating is working. Those contacts could be used to find product needs in those countries and then supply them with U.S. products. Of course the reverse could also be accomplished.
If this approach were possible, start up time would be of little concern and start up cost would be minimal and like more focused on acquiring import/export licenses. Such a business would also have the advantage of using little of your own funds in product acquisition. That is, once you have a good idea of products available, you can locate buyers who have the ability to produce letters of credit which can be used to establish buying power with the product sellers. You might also be able to trade products. |

Well Alex, learning how to spell gets you far, its great you speak a few languages. Real Estate is always a good place to get started, especially in a place I like to call Naples, FL, you can make a killing off of properties. |

My husband and I own our own business through a company called Primerica, which you may have heard of. It is a company within CitiGroup, which is the LARGEST company in the world. They allow you to own your own business, but without all the huge upfront capital that most businesses cost. It is NOT easy, and it is not get rich quick. However, if your willing to work hard and would enjoy working with a good, moral company, you can grow both financially and as a person.
If you want more info on this go to http://ww4.primerica.com/public/
Please know that I am not using this as a way to advertise for Primerica. I am simply answering a question. |
