Go with Princezz. If you can match up animal mono y mono. The elephant would be king. Not only for the size advantage but the weight advantage too. Even though one might think the under belly is a soft place to attack(which it might be to a pack attack)one-on-one no other animal would be able to reach it unless very, very fast. the elephant has the unique advantage of having a trunk that is quite useful. Second to the elephant might be the crock(but only if he is attacking from the shallows. The Polar Bear(pound for pound larger than a grizzly on average)the tiger or the lion(size and power) If you are talking sneak attacks then I would have to say the black mamba(The snake), but then a sneak attack is not one-on-one in a sense, is it? In most incidence, bet on the elephants LOL LOL |

Man, if he's armed.
For critters with natural weapons, I'd pick the lion. National Geographic did an article on them (last couple years, dont recall issue) where they discovered that lions have now learned how to hunt elephants in teams so they can gang up on them and bring down even healthy mature males (not just the sick, weak and young.)
I wonder how a lion would do against a big alligator. I think the gator would leave big scars on the lion, but my money's still on the lion to survive. But, since they cover different territory, grudge matches must be rare. |

my choice is the blöack mamba. she uses her poison to kill. each dose she is pumping into her enemy is poisonous enough to kill the opponent. you just got a few minutes of life left once she bites u. or you need antidote really quick. |
