Golden retievers by far....and just in case you doubt your people responding to your question ask a vet or look it up on the net....Goldens are by far the most pasive and gentle dogs out there.....studies have been done....but unfortunately Goldens also come with a price....they are usually allergy prone are more prone to cysts and other forms of cancer....at least from my understanding anyways.....but really I would stilll suggest them anyways....as far as wanting a dog for your child there should be no second |

An austrailian shepard! When I had one, He let me ride on his back, dress him up, and nonstop play with him. They are playful dogs, and don't just lay around. He was my best friend growing up, always there. |

Labradors and golden retrievers are known to be very family-friendly dogs. But, outside of that your best bet is to adopt a dog (not a puppy) that is already set in it's ways. Your local humane society should be able to tell you which dogs they have that would be alright with children. |

There has been way more fatal attacks on children by labs retrievers then pitbulls.Pitbulls a one of the least likely dogs to attack a person yet they are the ones who have such a bad rep,this annoys the hell out of me because pitbulls are such a loving loyal breed,check out the dog bite statistics pitbulls are way down the bottom of the list for fatal attacks.
How about the lady who had the worlds first face transplant the dog that attacked her was a lab.
PITBULLS ARE THE WORLDS BEST KIDS DOG IN MY OPINION,I own a pitbull and have 2 kids under 4 and my dog is so gentle with them and loves them unconditionally. |
