The scariest thing that happened to me was being robbed at gunpoint at work. I used to work the closing shift at Baskin-Robbins. It was 3 more minutes until it was time for me and my sister to lock up shop. A man came in to purchase one scoop of ice cream. After that, he took out a gun and showed it to my sister and told her to empty out the cash register with all the green inside. Not only did he want the store's money, but he also took the money from our wallets. He also wanted the money in the safe, but we didn't have access to the safe. After he found out that we didn't have access to the safe, he told us to lie on the ground with our face to the floor. I thought that he was going to pull the trigger, but he didn't. Thank God my sister and I are still alive. I am thankful that I don't work in an unsafe environment no more. |

Housefire, my children were 3 and 4 years old. We barely woke up in time. The fire alarms were going off but it was our 3 year old crying that got us up. Everyone got out just in time, as we were coming out the back door the windows in the living room just exploded. The most frightening sound I have ever heard. We lost all our "material" things but kept the most important our family. |

I was imprisoned and tortured in a camp in the Andes mountains while on vacation with my family. They realized two weeks later that I was not the person they wanted, so they let me go with nothing. I wandered for about three days until I reached a small village somewhere southwest of Peru. From there, I was able to contact the American Embassy who soon sent help. |

I'm a SAR ( Search And Rescue ) swimmer ... was doing some routine training ( refreshing ) and was swimming with the survivor ( my friend )enjoying my time ...and all of a sudden took a look to my V-ring and saw an 8-foot freaking shark swimming beneth me ... freaked the hell out . |
