It is darker than the normal penny but it is almost in mint condition. On the front it looks normal but in the back it has two feathers and says one cent.
its worth 1ΒΆ but for collectors you might find them selling them for $1 or $2 dollars. And that is called a wheat penny by the way because that is wheat not feathers on the back

sminthian1980 - That was only done in 1943 during WWII. Wheat pennies were made from 1909-1958.
If you were to sell it to a local shop they would probably offer you two cents for it. I usually pay 75 cents a roll for them though, more if they have a full bag ($50).

It's a wheat penny, not a normal penny. They're worth a little more than normal. During the war then they stopped making pennies out of copper so they could use it to make bullets instead. You can start collecting them. You still see them circulating around sometimes.
