I told a manager I would e-mail him something. He told me not to bother e-mailing it, but to "Outlook" him instead. I said, right, I'll e-mail it, and he got very annoyed and told me if I e-mail him, he won't get it, so I should outlook it instead.
Apparently, he didn't realize that Outlook is an email program (I still don't think he understands it). |

I had a supervisor who told me if I wanted to get on I should "grab the low hanging fruit" and that I should realise "it's all about window dressing"
I always thought low hanging fruit was the first to be eaten by the rats, and window dressing, all the dummies are full of pins and pricks>
I thought the man an idiot, but then again he's a manager and I'm not. |

I loathe the term 'exit' for getting the sack or leaving. Fill in your exit forms etc.
My friend always said that the term human resources made her laugh. How many scalps, fingers etc!
You should have told him to shoveitwherethesundon'tshinise. |

The words 'feedback'. This is when the workers at a meeting with management, usually once a week, are expected to explain if something has gone wrong and suggest solutions. How crap is that? Not only does the boss pay crap wages, he sucks the brains of the workers dry too.
You won't get me, I'm part of the Union until the day I die. |

Let's park that idea. I'll have to diarise that for the future. Speak English for goodness sake. |

I sat through a meeting where buzzwords were flying around like confetti. Everyone trying to out bulls*it each other. After one particularly annoying female had vomitted her rubbish at us for 10mins, I said that I hadn't understood a single thing that she'd been talking about. I was accused on the spot of not be a 'team player'. Laugh? I nearly punched her in the mouth there and then. If you want some truely excellent yuppyisms and buzzwords, try the follwing site. www.buzzwhack.com |

"Let's all shoot ahead of the duck."
Think ahead. Plan.
You have to aim where you think the duck will be, not where it is when you pull the trigger.
Who thinks this cr*p up? |

"I would like to make this a paperless office"!! (Nice theory but it doesn't work!!)
And its annoying when managers say "lets touch base soon"!! |

Robusticise is merely to make it more robust (so that any dissenters find it harder to pick holes in the report). The current buzz term our council uses is co-terminocity. NO ONE knows what that means.... it refers to the target areas being the same for different groups rather than overlapping. (Now you'll sound clever when you use it) |
