"The Wind and the Lion" is my all-time favorite movie. Filmed in 1976, it stars Sean Connery, Candace Bergen, and Brian Keith. The supporting cast is also top notch with the likes of John Carradine. Directed by David Milieus, the story takes place in North Africa during the presidency of Teddy Roosevelt. It is a fictional story set against a historical backdrop. It explores a clash of power between a nomadic Berber cheiftan (Sean Connery) and the President of the United States (Brian Keith as TR).
The story and dialogue are genuine and seamless. The casting is superb. The setting and cinematography are outstanding. The music is absolutely brilliant. All of the parts of this movie work to provide a brilliant whole.
I have watched this movie many times. Several scenes in this movie send shivers up my spine and bring a tear to my eye every time I watch it.
I hope you watch it and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. |

This movie is a adventurous movie that starts out with two good friends, one a human, and one an alien, (Same species diffirent planet), and Earth is about to be distroyed for an international hyperspaceway, (Highway type thingy). It's a funny movie, you should watch it!
