I love them for that fact that they offer an alternative to throwing away every item we don't want anymore, and that they serve a means to getting something a bit nicer than you could normally afford, or finding items they're not making anymore. (Like that NES from my childhood)
And, I never really had anything bad to say about them, until the day I found items stolen from me in them. There are just wayyyy too many items which can be stolen and moved through pawnshops. If your house/car is ever broken into, garunteed you can buy most of your stuff back within 2 weeks from a pawnshop.

They rip you off. If you pawn something they only give you a small percentage of the value. If you try to buy something it is priced way to high for a used item.

It all depends on what you really mean? I think pawnshops are okay, I guess as long as none of my things appear in them I guess I'm okay.
I think that alot of people that are down and out use them as a bank and I don't think that's right... Some people pawn there things to get money to pay bills, buy drugs or just to get rid of stuff... I think that a lot of pawn shops are in poverty neighboorhoods knowing that there's someone out there that can pawn something that is worth so much but the get so little and then when the come back to get it it's either gone or they can't afford it.....
It's sad when I look at it from that aspect.... but it all depends on what side of the fence you are on.....
