Fast food, retail stores, drug stores, groceries. Almost anyplace will hire teenagers to do unskilled jobs. Don't expect big wages, but it will be better than nothing. |

You have to look around.
There are the normal food industry/ retail jobs, but I think those are a waste of time because you work hard and get paid so little.

You can work at a family restaurant place, like Friendly's, if there is one in your area. You can see if anyone in your neighborhood would pay you to mow their lawn, if they need babysitting or if anyone needs some to paint some walls in their home. Check and see if there is a telephone center in your area. I used to work at one doing surveys on the phone (boring I know) but they should start you at $8 an hour and if you know Spanish you can get $10 an hour. You can also work at a supermarket. All you need is working papers and you should be fine. Another idea...you can walk dogs and watch them if people go away on vacation, or take care of pets in the area. |
