Preparation is key to a successful interview
Does the idea of going to a job interview make you feel a little queasy? Many people find that it is the hardest part of the hiring process. But it doesn’t have to be. The more you prepare and practice, the more comfortable you will feel. Increase your odds of landing the job you want by brushing up on your interview skills.
Prepare before you go.
Find out all you can about the company before you go to the interview. Understand the products that they produce and/or the services that they provide. It’s also good to know who the customers are and who the major competitors are.
Practice makes perfect.
It will also make you feel more confident and relaxed. So, practice your answers to common questions. Make a list of questions to ask, too. Almost all interviewers will ask if you have questions. This is a great opportunity for you to show that you have done your homework and have put some thought into your questions
Make a great impression.
The interview is your chance to show that you are the best person for the job. Your application or resume has already exhibited that you are qualified. Now it ’s up to you to show how your skills and experience match this position and this company.
The employer will be looking and listening to determine if you are a good fit. He/she will be looking for a number of different qualities, in addition to the skills that you possess. To make the best impression, dress appropriately; sell your strengths; arrive early, by about 10-15 minutes; be enthusiastic; shake hands firmly; be an active listener; sit up straight and maintain eye contact; ask questions.
Say "thank you".
After the interview, follow up with a thank-you note. This is a chance for you to restate your interest and how you can benefit the company. Your best bet is to try to time it so that the note gets there before the hiring decision is made. You should also follow up with a phone call if you don’t hear back from the employer within the specified time. |

Eye contact a must! Show confidence in yourself. Don't shake your legs or tap your fingers - shows bad nerves. SMILE!! Before you go, think of any kind of experience you have in that type of work - even if school related. Employers want to know they are going to hire people who can get along well others too. Confidence but not cocky... |

relax and feel free to ask questions as well as answer them. a good thing to do is to research the employer beforehand (maybe visit their website or something) so you have an idea of what they do and what your position would be doing. then brainstorm the day before and think of some things you'd like to ask
act interested in the position. enthusiasm goes a long way - just dont go overboard.
keep in mind that an interviewer probably interviews many people a day, so youve got to stand out. whenever you answer a question go ahead and hint at some qualifications you might have (being detail-oriented, fast learner, good communicator, etc.)
good luck! |

be open and honest. look the interviewre in the eye when you speak. practice the interview beforehand so that you will be more comfortable with the answers you will give. be serious, but light. ask questions of the interviewer so that he will know you are more than marginally interested. hand him a well-worded resume. get two or three references. be prepared, man. good luck! |

Be Honest and answer each question fully. Don't be afraid to ask what the question was. Of course nothing assures you the job, but these won't hurt ya. |

all your answers so far are right, be confident, honest, enthusiastic (about your past, present and future), it would help if you tell us exactly which role you are applying for.
gentle humour can also work, however; you need to be sure on your limits. strike a common ground, does the interviewer have a wedding ring? could you use this?
remember, you want them to remember you, they will probably see 20 people over the week, when looking for jobs I made sure i wore a bright orange scarf. sounds stupid? well, maybe...but it breaks the ice and was remembered.
finally, do your research, know the company, prod/services, competitors, market position etc
Be yourself and goodluck
remember, they need you! more than you need them |

Answer the questions they ask truthfully and confident. An employer likes someone who comes in and feels relaxed. Try not to be nervous (I know it is hard) and look the person in the eye. Do not fidget around in your seat. You want to make sure you are honest about the type of experience you have because you don't want to get into the job and prove that you don't know how to do something. |
