Gas should stay low for a while while the debt deflation continues.
Interest rates will stay low for at least the first half of 2009 but this won't help the economy at all
Massive unemployment, with a big downleg for the stock market starting with the January employment report the first week of February (because the Jan report goes back and fixes all the overstatements of the past 6 months)
Opec will try to force gas up, but it won't go because demand will continue to decrease with rising unemployment.
Deflation will continue for 2009 until all the bad debt is defaulted. I don't have an exact time frame for this, but watch out for hyperinflation after this as the government no longer will have access to the credit markets to make good on all their obligations and will be forced to start monetizing. |

We are going to be so much worse with Obama. He is already making bad decisions and he has yet to be in office! Like how he supports bailing out the automobile companys......WHY? Use our taxpayers money just to support some businesses that are going bankrupt because of bad business decisions. It's their fault, not us, we should nto bail them out. Obama supports wasting money. |

I would guess that Obamanomics will leave the average hard working taxpayer with less money in his or her pockets in 2009 and less choices on how it gets spent. Very early in the year everyone will figure out that his pretty smile and charming rhetoric can't actually run the country. It actually takes qualities called leadership and experience. (Of which he has neither) The good news is that he only has 4 years to destroy our way of life. Look for requests for impeachment by 2011. |
