I was going to say popcorn balls until you said it was mostly older people. :)
Lemonade, iced tea, brownies, cookies, and the typical, traditional fare will be good and always are popular sellers. But if she wants to add trinkets, I'll give her a trick that worked EXTREMELY well for me as a child....drawings! When I was quite young (like five, six, etc.) I had a lemonade stand at which I sold drawings I had made. The older people in my neighborhood absolutely ADORED them and a few of them had the pictures hanging on their fridges for years afterwards. The response was phenomenal and I did that for several years in a row, always with a great response. |

This would be a good time to go through your stuff and see if she'd like to sell used items that you no longer want...sort of a sidewalk yard sale. Maybe little toys and costume jewelry, books, etc. To be safe with food items, try having her sell bagged miniature candies that are individually wrapped. Boxed drinks aren't too expensive, like Capri Sun, and come in many flavors. Hope this helps. |

Call your local municipal office (village or city) and ask them. I have heard of families getting stopped from selling lemonade. If you give them a heads up you may be okay. Good luck and have fun. |
