They are fairly easy and inexpensive to fix if you have basic
skills in electricity, and a minor in mechanical skills, plus the time!

Throw it out!
Or...maybe you could sell it to someone for parts, or maybe someone would be interested in trying to fix it.

See if your area has a Freecycle chapter. You can probably find someone who will take it off your hands for free. Much easier and enviornmentally-friendly than taking it the dump. One man's trash is another man's treasure!

woojy
throw it out
donate it
keep it as junk
fix it

grab a phone book and look up March Of Dimes, GotJunk?, Salvation Army, Goodwill, any and all missions or Church donation organizations (you know those ones that ask for things like cars, boats, even rv's) and see which ones take and repair things like that and donate them to need homes or what ever... even some that won't fix them they might take it and tear it down and recycle anything they can off it. OR simply take it to the recyclers yourself or call GOTJUNK? or a similar company that does the same thing they come and remove old junk and strip anything working and/or recycleable and sell if or do whatever with it to either make profit or benefit the earth and the community.
