Gotta buy American, support our jobs and economy I live in the Detroit area and half my family works for the big 3, they are hurting right now and the only way to help is to buy American |

I'd like to buy American, but quite frankly, the cars are garbage. I buy from foreign companies, and American companies won't get my business until they make safe, reliable, eco-friendly cars. Until then, I'll stick to Toyotas. |

American. Of course if I move to Japan I would still buy American but it would then be foreign, right? |

US. I live in the Motor City and I just couldn't drive a foreign car in these parts. Plus the way the economy is going, we as Americans must support our own! |

I'd still go for a locally manufactured Japanese car due to its low fuel consumption with performance comparable to that of an American car. Less fuel consumption means reduction in personal spending, reduction in carbon emissions for better air quality and environment and proactive support to the US government's initiatives on energy conservation and efficiency. |

wow, thats a tough one, buy hard to work on designed to fail outrageously expensive parts, must take to dealer for repair foreign cars, or get the same thing only guzzles more gas, doesnt last as long but is made here at home american cars? i dunno, maybe ill start buying better walking shoes, unless the american auto manufacturers wise up and start making cars we can believe in again.
unless of course i can find a good deal on a '66 g.t.o. |

Oh, foreign, most definitely! You see, I hate all things American and so buying an American car simply makes no sense to me.

Foreign, of course. The Japanese make the best cars in the world. You can't go wrong with a Honda or Toyota. |
