It's likely the inverse of the answer I gave you for my most difficult decision. When I was offered the opportunity to live and teach in Japan, I did some research online and said, yes, I can do this and I want to do this. A lot of my family and friends thought it was a huge decision and worried about my making such an enormous commitment to live in a foreign land I'd never even visited before. I was giving up my job, my townhouse and my car (everything else went into storage). I neither read nor spoke Japanese, yet I didn't hesitate and I never wavered. I got my passports (I have two) and visa in order, took care of the necessary logistical arrangements both here and in Japan, bought my plane tickets, said my goodbyes and off I went. And I have never regretted that decision, not for one minute. I think the timing was perfect, really. I wanted to make some radical changes in my life. I wanted to do something big, unlike anything I'd ever done before. So I made my decision quickly and never looked back. It was an awesome experience, one I'll never forget. I guess it was just my destiny... and that's why I found the decision easy to make.

To spend at least a few minutes appreciating nature every day. God did some spectacular work in the first six days - it's a shame we're all in such a hurry.

If I die today, I will have at least taken a moment to view Venus in the pre-dawn sky. I have 1:26 PM local time in my datebook - I'll be outdoors greeting spring.
