Ikeep getting the letter saying that I have to pay the bill for which I haven't made any transaction at all. You can not PAY for something you never had.

You have not ordered the product or signed a Contract ?

They must by law actually give a minimum of 7 days notice.

Anyway this sounds like a SCAM: So ignore the letter. If they do send you a court summons, Which I doubt very much, then get yourself a solicitor. Also what is the name of the comapany ? maybe we can put your mind at rest and find out if it is a genuine comapany or is it really a scam that people need to be aware of.

You could also let the local trading standards office know or even the police.

What do you mean "why should i pay the bill for nothing". are you saying this bill is not yours ? if so tell them it not yours and if they persist issue a counter claim against them for harassment... but if it is your bill you will have to pay it

What is the bill for? You have to call these people to tell them you haven't made any transactions, they won't know unless you do this and you'll keep getting these letters. This could also affect your credit rating, so you have to sort this now. Just sitting on the problem won't make it go away. Nip it in the bud now - they have to listen if you said you haven't made any transactions.

If you genuinly have had no dealings with the company concerned then tell them I will see you in court. It ought to be an interesting day out.

first call your bank and have them check all of your records for that charge then let your bank know what is going on you could be the victim of identity theft, second call the debit collector that is sending you the bill, if its a real debit collector they will have a number on the bill, get their name and address, then call the better business bureau and have them tell you everything they can about that company if anything sounds fishy or just not right call a lawyer and ask if they give free consultations, take all the information you have and show them, i went through this five years ago and it was a lawyer who know what was happening to me his first call after telling me everything was to the FBI to alert them, not sure if the FBI is still in charge of that stuff, but it was a good thing the lawyer knew what to do.

Don't pay if you haven't made the transactions. You should put down some more info as to if it is pertaining to your credit card. If your card was stolen, then the credit card company should claim from their insurance.

I'm assuming that since this is Yahoo au then you are in australia...?

If you're from NSW I'd see the Dept. of Fair Trading and register a complaint against the company.

Calm down. They are just hired people that like to listen to there selves talk. Personally from experience I would laugh and hang up its when you get mail then be a good person and mail in 1.00 or 5.00 then you are making an attempt. Unless its a utility bill then panic.

Who is it from first of all - tell us and we might be able to help!

FM is going away.
Sounds all too familiar, if there nis a phone number, just phone and tell them that you have other commitments, not just them and you can only afford to pay a certain amount each month. They will either accept it or ask you to pay a bit more, at least you have made a move then and got them off your back for a bit.

JimiMac
you must pay the bill obviosly but you can get an agreement to set up a payment that suits you both. Im sure they don't want to drag the issue through the courts and that way you both know where you stand.
