I'd cry, then I'd wipe my tears and think, the crevical cancer, though bad, can be removed, so it doesn't mean my lifes over. I'm glad the doctor found it now. The school of my choice not wanting me, might mean my second choice school might be my destiny to where I get a better or just as good of an education, and may be also where I will meet the 'MAN OF MY DREAMS.'

just keep going honey, the cancer can be removed, there is another school that can give you the same education that you need, and to hell with the guy, theres one out there that will make your forget he ever existed
who knows, you may meet the man of your dreams at the hospital when you get your surgery and wind up getting an education from the same school, heads up girl, you got a lot of life and choices ahead of you. |

Hi,
Well I know how you feel about the cervical cancer...well almost. I know one day I will more than likely get it due to my genetics, every woman on my moms side has had it, previous generations died from it. How bad is your cancer? Are they able to just use a laser and burn the cells off? Are they going to have to operate? Will it affect your chances at children. I know that I would like children, and as soon as I get a bad pap, I will go and get pregnant even if I am not married because I do not want to risk having a no children like my aunt.
If you did not get accepted to your choice school, well go to a community college, or a smaller university, etc. Go for a year, earn good grades, be active in the college community and then apply again for your school.
As for the guy, if he cannot be sweet and undertanding and respectful in your time of need he is not for you. Challenges in life brings out someone's true character.

Everyhthing will work out. You need to look for support through your family. We can not plan everything in our lives, if we could it wouldn't be so interresting. I know you are hurting, and confused. Take a time out, chill, discover what's really important. Take care of your health first, that includes mental health (do some meditation to relax). Go to a college that you get into first, ask the advisor what you would need to do to be able to transfer to your top choice a year later. Don't worry about the dude, it's not worth it, if he's not turning out to be someone you want to spend time with, simply don't. There are options and solutions available, you will be fine. Focus on yourself right now. You can do it! |

I would contact an attorney and see if you can take any legal actions against the school. To me, It sounds like a case of discrimination. If this is the case, you may have to file a lawsuit in civil claims court. Discrimination is illegal and should not be tolerated. |

We can't really say if we are not in the situation. I am so sorry for you. Please, take care of yourself first. Get healthy and well. When you recover physically and emotionally, then you can work on your school goals and relationship goals. Sometimes life can really test us. Please turn these stumbling blocks into stepping stones. Postive thinking will help with healing. I hope you have good support persons in your life. Find people who encourage you and support you in positive ways. You are better off without anyone or anything that brings negativity in your life. |

I'd change my socks, drink some water and drive on. When life gives you lemons, make a lemon pie, anyone want some lemon pie? When the going gets tough... Ok, enough incoherent quotes. But really sometimes life is crappy. Cancer is a trial that I haven't had to face, and I think that should be your main concern right now, getting healthy. As for not getting accepted to a school, that should be all the more drive to try harder. Once I failed to meet a physical requirement for something I wanted to do. Did I give up? No. Did I feel sorry for myself? Yeah, for about a day, but after that I got myself in gear and worked out for a year until I was strong enough to overcome. Thats what its all about, physical mental and emotional strength. You have to believe in yourself and know that even though you have your limits and weaknesses, obstacles are just things you have to work harder to overcome in order to get the things you want. |
