I am about to graduate college in May. I live in MS. I hate MS. I have no kids, no boyfriend,i'm 22 so no attachments, but family, so I am very able to move. But, I don't know where to go? I have narrowed it down to 3 choices: Los Angelos, New York, and Chicago. I have family in all those places. If you were me, where would you move to? |

the thing you have to take in consideration before jumping on a plane to NY is that you are from the south which is known for manners and southern hospitality. NY is fast paced and people there are waay different. Rude if you ask me. i dont mean to offend anybody but when i was in Jersey i was really intimidated by how upfront they were . If you have a strong backbone, go for it. but for me i know i could never make it in a place like that. |

Good for you for wanting to strike out on your own! And also, good for you for finishing school first. Now, you need to start thinking of the kind of work that you want to do, and then look up that job in the cities you're interested in. Try CareerBuilder, Monster, and sites like that. Also, look at Craigslist.org it is available for all of those cities.
Chicago has deep, hard winters, NYC has lots of snow too. LA has more temperate weather, better than MS but more like MS than the others. If you don't like cold, LA is the best choice. |

heres an idea i live two hours away from chicago in St. Joesph County, IN. so u can hop a plane to chicago or take the train conveinlently located at the airport where the planes fly out of. |

if i knew i had a good job lined up in any of those cities i'd move to los angelos. the weather is much better there. and if you're into culture you'd be hard-pressed to find another city that offers as much. |

Agreed about the best place you can find a job. I lived in NY most of my life and loved it, and it's true that if you make it there you can make it anywhere, but it's and expensive city. Chicago is nice and urban too. Never been to LA, but if you like that holloywood scene it's all good. But I would have to say NY. I'm biased. |
