I would divide 2 million around my family.
I would buy a Jenny Craig franchise title and open up shop.
I would build a women's drug and alcohol recovery centre that allows smoking and children to live with their mothers while they are in recovery. A minimum of 90 day stay.
I would buy a nice house.
I would take lots of trips with my husband and children.
I would invest some.
The rule that Rockafellar lived by was, give some, save some, spend some.

you know i have thought about what i would do if i was rich and i always come to the same conclusion,i would probably give it all away as tender hearted as i am,i can't stand to see people go without i've been poor all my life and i still try and help out the needy so i guess i would be right back where i am now poor but happy as all get out.

Hmmm - acres for my husband and myself. A home for my mother, whereever she wanted. And I would try to help as many of my family members as possible, with whatever they needed. A huge donation to the Alzheimer's Association would also be given.

10 million is enough investment capital that I'd not need to ever work again.

So I'd invest the 10 million and then limit my spending to about 1/4th the income it generates.

:-)

The best thing is to hire an expert who can manage 10 million dollars to generate more money for you to buy house, car, luxuries etc. I will Hire a really smart guy to manage the wealth and enjoy my life.

SPEND??? " FOOLS AND THEIR MONEY, DO NOT LONG TIME, BROTHERS MAKE" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
An astute person would 1. NEVER let anyone else know of their wealth!!! AND WOULD WAIT A MINIMUM OF ONE YEAR, BEFORE TELLING ANYONE OF YOUR GOOD FORTUNE!!!!!
2. WOULD Invest the money, into an interest bearing TRUST FUND !!!
3. WOULD Only draw a portion of the interest for living, spending, etc.
4. NEVER TRUST FRIENDS, FAMILY, or LAWYERS, BANKERS, STOCK BROKERS, "GET RICHER" SCHEMERS,etc.
5. Prepare to hear the most heart rendering / soul touching sob stories ever told !!!

An average house, a car, clothes And the rest I'd save so that I don't have to work too much and when I retire I'll have that stored.
