You don't have to spend it.
You could save it for a rainy day, or spend a little on stuff you need like driving lessons. |

hopefully you were not hurt too badly in the accident. I would pay off a few little bills i have and then put the rest in the bank, or under the bed with the dust bunnies and save until I can come home again to England in the warmer weather. and spoil my parents! :) |

Personally I would use half of it to pay off some of my student loan (currently hovering around the £35k mark and gaining £100 a month interest - woo!) and then put the other half in my savings account. |

Wow how lucky. I would use it to clear my debts (about £2000) - that would be SUCH a relief. Then spend the rest on whatever... or save it for when you will need it. Good luck. |

Save most of it, spend a little on a nice holiday away. Pamper yourself. Life is short. |

Yes, definitely save most and spend a little on yourself. A nice getaway. Life IS indeed too short. Live it a little! ;-) |

I'm actually in a similar situation. Damaged my back three years ago in a car crash and expecting compensation soon. If I got that much I would be divided between building an extension on the house or clearing all my loans. |

oooh that would just about cover my credit card debts (only just, mind!!) so if you're stuck, send it my way, i'd glady spend it for you ;o) However, if you would prefer to keep hold of it, why not stick it into a high interest account (if you can still find one!) until you have a better idea on what you could spend it on? |
