A question you might want to ask yourself is how it will look when you are older .... tattoos are unseemly on over-40s. |

There's nothing wrong with it unless you get entirely too many... then you start to get that 'biker chick' look about you. |

Do what you will and harm none. Let naught stop you nor turn you aside. In other words as long as it hurts nobody, do what you want to do. You are the only one that has to live with it. |

I think dragon tattoos are lame on anybody. My sister has a cool tattoo of these psychadelic skulls. That one's pretty tight. |

They can look very sexy depending on the location of the tat. |

Tattooing is the same for men and women.
Here are Snowbaal's Five Pretty Good Ideas for Tattooing:
(1) Tattooing, like marriage, is best saved for when you're 30 or older. By then your personality is pretty much formed, and you're ready for a lifetime commitment. Just like marriage, tattooing is reversible, but the change is more expensive and painful than the original experience, and some scar of the experience is always with you.
(2) Never get a tattoo you haven't been planning for at least a year and a day. A shorter time means it might be a whim.
(3) Pick your artist carefully. Don't go in off the street to just whomever. This is an aesthetic decision for life. Also not a time to be cheap.
(4) Think about whether this is on "public" or "private" skin when you pick the spot. Imagine all the outfits you might ever wear with changes in fashion, changes in your body due to aging, and different jobs you might have when picking the appropriate part of your body.
(5) The best tattoos for any given person are the ones that are unique to that person. Don't get what others are getting; get something particular to you. Be prepared to explain why you got it, rather than just "I thought it looked cool." This is for life.
Good luck! |
