It depends what you're into really, and what you're interested in doing later on - for example if you're interested in fashion or perhaps want to be a fashion designer, get a job at a fashion store. They often give staff discounts too so that's a big bonus.
If you like animals, perhaps you could get a job at a vet/cattery/kennel - keep in mind that cleaning cages isn't much fun, but you do get to play with all the cute animals.
Maybe a job at a hair salon, you can pick up some great style tips and get discounted products.
Waiting tables can bring good tips, but keep in mind you'll be on your feet a lot and dissatisfied customers tend to shoot the messenger (you).
If you're into cars, a job at a service station could suit you well, or even a mechanic's assistant.
If reading is your thing, try a job at a bookshop of library.
Don't bother working at a grocery store as others have suggested. Been there done that - it's boring, repetitive work and people give you no respect. Also, you really don't want to work at a fast food joint - all the oil in the air gives you pimples and if you're given free food you'll end up putting on a ton of weight. |

Depends what the person is good at, e.g. if they like talking any retail experience would be good or perhaps they might be talented at a particular sport than maybe coaching that sport. |

Waiter/Waitress or Retail.
I would lean towards waiting tables. If you get a good spot, you can earn a lot in tips. I'd recommend learning how to bartend when you are young. In big cities, you can make BIG money bartending. I personally know people who are paying their way through college and grad school from a 20 hr/week bartending job. |

A mall job. The stores close early and you get to meet lots of people. Not to mention the discounts you'd get. |

you should apply for an internship for a job that you are interested in pursuing later in life. for example, if you're going to major in computers in college, then you should apply for best buy, circuit city, etc. |

i think a sales crew at the fast food will do. if your a student why not try to apply as a student assistant to any of your school department. |

Movies, clothing stores, burger king or mcdonalds, babysitting, walking dogs, working at a little store near by.
Just look around, and in the paper, also talk to someone at school..they should be able to help you.
Thanks for posting, I hope I was able to help, and good luck with job searching! Happy new year :D |
