They are the same thing..in Australia we call them G strings because we use the word thong to describe rubber flip flops. |

A thong has a thicker piece of fabric (usually at least 1/2 inch or more), while a g-string has only a string (much thinner than 1/2 inch). As far as comfort goes- everyone is different- some think one is more comfortable than the other.. |

Thong is just an underwear that goes up your butt, but a G-string is really thin and narrow - like the way you think of rope.
G-strings leave less to the imagination, and thongs are usually considered more comfortable (not by me).
Some people though will say that a G-string is in the "thong" category. |

a g-string is more thinner than a thong
it depends on a woman's preference to which article of clothing is more comfy |

i personally find the need to wear them unnessesary..whats it matter if no one is going to see your underwear? but g-stings go in the *** crack so that isn't really comfy or well i would think not |

A thong is a thick string and a g string is a string....common since would tell you that. |

There isn't much of a difference. A thong has a piece of fabric in the shape of a triangle in the back, and a g-string doesn't, it is just all string back there. |
