If you are of age, a bottle of liquor. Just kidding. Sort of. You should definitely get in the habit of saving. I think 10% is a good number to shoot for, setting up direct deposit and an automated transfer to a savings or investment account makes this easy and you don't have to think about it the rest of the month. And do something to celebrate: go out to dinner, or buy some new clothes, or something like that.

Treat yourself to a nice meal in your favorite restaurant..if you have a significant other, take them, too! Then you should put some money in a savings account for later.

Good question! Go out to dinner and order the best thing on the menu. Then you'll feel like a balla'.

Hi Pookie,
A warm handshake from your employer, with a welcome to the team comment.
As far as "buying" something, that's up to you my friend..

A Savings account then a checking account .
But first make a copy of it and put it in a nice frame.
Congratulations !

First make a copy of that check so that you will remember it.
Then take your family who supported you out to dinner.
The rest of the money is to put aside to buy a house.

You should get a bank account to put your paycheck in, also think about opening a simple money market account which gains interest. You will see your money accumulate quickly and you will be glad you did it.
