Whats the minimum wage for over 21 yr olds?

ALEX H
Hi good question,

"# The National Minimum Wage for anyone aged 22 or over is £5.35 per hour.

# For those aged 18 to 21 (or over 21 but in the first six months of a new job with a new employer and receiving accredited training), the rate is £4.45.

# For workers aged 16-17 the rate is £3.30 per hour." I found this on this website: http://www.thesite.org/workandstudy/working/workersrights/theminimumwage

Not sure if it is correct!

Good luck

JOJO

In the U.S., it's the same no matter what your age is. It's interesting to know that it's not the same way everywhere!

Minimum wage in Arkansas is $6.25 per hour. It varies from state to state though.

Liadan
Its now supposed to be the same as for a 16 year old.
If they are paying you less than older people you should do something about it, there is a new law that says that is age discrimination.
