If it's addressed to you, you will need a picture ID.
If it isn't addressed to you, the person it was addressed to will have to sign the slip that the delivery person left when they couldn't deliver the package that you may pick it up for them. You will still need a picture ID. |

I thought it was just the card they put through your door to say they tried to deliver. Or at least thats what i always use, no ID. Why not ring them and ask if you dont have the card. |

Unless the item is Restricted Delivery, anyone at the house 18 or older, may sign for it.
If you are not in, you need to make arrangements to have the item redelivered at a time when you might be home or come down and pick it up.
Again, if they come by the house, anyone there may sign for the item.
If someone either than youself is picking up the parcel, you must give written, signed authorization that this specific person may retrieve this item. |

They post a little slip with information eg name of person, package type. It tells you where to pick it up from, usually the main post office warehouse. It tells you the opening hours aswell, usually they are quite akward like in the morning. You need to take the slip with you for proof and a document that it proof of your signature. |
