Using the .99 is just a way of making something seem cheaper. £499.99 sounds alot cheaper than £500 Obvisously it is, but only by a penny! |

If we lose the penny it will be used yet again as an excuse to raise the cost of living. Something costing say 23p will not go down to 22p, oh no, it will rise to 24p. We were swindled the same way when decimalization was introduced, same with the euro in Spain and other countries who introduced it. |
