When you buy something on ebay do you always get it??

Wendi
Yes, by ups, or another postal service, usually takes a week or so

Tasha M
Some people make up an item put it on ebay and get the money for it and never send anything. Its best to get stuff through a real business. You can never be certain that you will get what you pay for.

Trailer P
No. I recently had a friend explain a purchase he made. He did not recieve his product. AND he did not get his money back....

Nope!

Now you hope you will. But there are a number of factors that may prevent you from receiving your item. They include but are not limited to...

1. Bogus sale (the seller never had the item). He/she was a con.
2. Lost in the mail. Hey, I love our USPS, but it does happen.
3. Unforeseen events. I didn't receive something from the internet one time after I bought it. I had to do some research, but it turned out that the company I bought my item from was...in New Orleans, LA. The date? August. They were nailed by the hurricane.

In a perfect world, you would get what you bought. But we have deceitful people, imperfect systems, and sometimes downright unforeseeable outside sources.

But don't be afraid! eBay is a FUN place to shop! I love it! And I am confident (though wisely cautious!) when making purchases!

mankind
if you're buying from someone with 50% positive feedback - your chances to get the item is 50% or less, and if you're paying w/cashier's check or money order it's even lower

lol yes

If you are the highest bidder on ebay then you will get the product. Ebay has been known to have fraudulent sellers.

The best thing to do is before you place your bid, you should look at the sellers ebay rating and checkout their feedback that other ebay users have left. This will help indicate if you can trust the seller or not.

And when you get scammed there is a way to report such illegal activity on ebay and you can leave negative feedback to warn others not to do business

I have not had any trouble yet. Everything is always in good condition too.

nimmi
yes, until now I didn't have any prob. But if you have doubts, check the reviews and ratings on that seller. You can easily know whether to trust the seller or not.

bmack01
Yes, but I have had to use the tracking number to track a few items before. Sometimes the mail is sloooowww!

Mcmommy
I had a really good experience on EBay. I got exactly what I ordered, in a timely manner.

I've never had a problem. People who scam like that are usually reported and their selling rights are revoked permanelty. They clauses and stuff like that, I think they can sue you too or something if you scam.

yes- I have never bought from anyone who didn't prove to be honest and reliable.

No- a friend got totally screwed out of $700 b/c a hacker broke into a guy's account and scammed him. The seller had a great rating but even Ebay isn't totally resistant to hackers.

dukalink6000
Most of the time. I have been stiffed.

I always have. I LOVE Ebay!

Depends on the seller - make sure you check their ratings and also check delivery time and charges - sometimes you think you won something for a good price and they hit you with a ridiculously high shipping fee.

teena9
Not always. A lot of what goes on on eBay is based on trust between the buyer and seller. There are always unscrupulous people on eBay who take your money but don't send the item. That is why eBay has safeguards to protect you from fraud. First of all, never may with a money order, it's a scam. Pay through paypal or with your credit card and always ask for a postal tracking number. That way you have proof you paid and can contact the post office if your package doesn't arrive.

mom of 2
I've always gotten what I ordered. However I only order from people with a feedback of 96% or higher.

~Lauralyn~
i have never bought n e thing on ebay but my husband and my father have and i have never heard them complain about not receiving something from ebay.

Mariam
yes, but if you are worried check the persons feedback score and the feedback its self. Some carriers take longer to get there than others. it also depends on what the seller offered for shipping, and what you choose.
Also If you are worried about it, CONTACT THE SELLER!
Hope that helps!!

I have always received what I have purchased, but depending on the items value, I sometimes chose to have the item insured. A Pay Pal account also offers some added protection

I've always gotten everything I've bought on eBay. One of the benefits to buying through eBay is that you can go through them to dispute something if you paid for it but never received it.

I have always received any order I have placed on eBay. I try to order only from merchants with positive transition comments.

Well, I have been using ebay for a few years now and I haven't always gotten what I paid for. Just be sure to use a secure online paying tool like, PayPal. If someone ever tries to take your money without sending you anything PayPal will try to get it back for you. But buying stuff online is always a risk, so be careful =]
