If it's outside, I leave it as a warning to the bugs next of kin, not to come calling.
If it's inside, I sweep it up, throw it outside, further message to bugs. I'd make no trespassing signs for bugs, if those little devils could read. |

You've been in my kitchen, haven't you???
We recently got an ant problem, thanks to my husband spilling a coke by the sink and not cleaning it up well enough. While I was cleaning the kitchen, I saw some ants crawling on the wall in front of the sink, so I sprayed 'em with Lysol, which kills them almost instantly, and left 'em there until I was ready to clean that area. More kept coming, so I would pick up the can and *SSSPPHH!!* every few minutes. After I had about 20 built up, hubby came in. He asked why I was leaving them there, and I smarted off with "So the others will think 'Maybe this isn't such a good idea after all.'"
About 10 minutes later when I was ready to clean that area, it had accumulated about 30 dead and about 20 new ants. I think my plan failed. All I did was made an ant cemetary, and they were coming in droves to pay their respects!
Area was cleaned, disinfected, and no more ants. And hubby reassured me that the few survivors probably had post traumatic stress syndrome and would leave us alone. Since he's an Army medic, I'll take his word for it. |
