A lot of places sell money orders, but they are not honored everywhere. The only only that are honored everywhere are the ones from the US Postal Service (Post Office) sales. |

You can get a money Order at the Post Office. Just saw I need a money Order. And then they'll ask you for how much then just state your amount. |

You can purchase money orders at several locations:
United States Post Office (USPS) - stick to these
Banks - these are the most expensive
Large grocery & department stores (ie: Price Chopper, Hannaford, Walmart, etc) - note these can only be cashed at banks.
As far as I know Money Orders can't be purchased at any ATM. Like I already stated, use USPS money orders. They are more user-friendly. There is less of a chance you will get a bogus postal money order. |

You can't get them from an ATM AT a bank, but you can get them from bank tellers.
Post offices sell them too.
Also try the customer service desks at supermarkets, and convenience stores. |

You can also get one at a post office usually. |

Not from an ATM. You can get them from banks, convenience stores, Western Union, etc. Just tell the teller/clerk you want a money order. There's a small fee. |

I've never heard of a Money Order from an ATM machine.
Money Orders are available from banks, the US Post Office, Western Union, and in many cases, places like 7-11. |

Not ATMs yet. Ask over the counter where you have an account.
Or try the Post Office, & cheque-cashing stores. |

Yes, you can buy them at the bank. They are usually around $5 - $10. You can't get them from ATM's, you must go inside to get them. |

you CANNOT get a money order at an ATM. Banks, Western Union, Post Office, and some stores like Wal*Mart, issue them, but ALL charge fees. As an alternative, ask your bank if they will issue a TELLER'S CHECK instead of a money order. If you have an account, they may issue these FREE of charge. There is also a Payday Loan company known as FAST CASH OF AMERICA. They are in several midwestern and southern states, have their own web site, and they advertise: THE HOME OF THE 5 CENT MONEY ORDER. They will issue money orders (as many as you want) for FIVE CENTS EACH, but you must pay the fee and the amount of the money order IN CASH. |
