Well, rednecks are Farmers (and Cowboys, etc) that work out in the sun, so they get sunburned necks. Hillbillies are people from the hills of Appalachia, Ozarks, etc. Both can be confusing to a Notherner who doesn't know sh*t about either. I'd prefer to be either before being a Yankee.
