I loved living in Germany for 4 years while my husband was stationed there. It gave me the opportunity to see my heritage and meet family I would not have otherwise. The country is so beautiful. There are parks everywhere and everyone gardens. There are palaces and the architecture is amazing. The markets are fantastic with their wonderful meats and cheeses. The breads are the good wholesome kind with wonderful crust and textures. There are bike paths everywhere you go so that it's possible to get out and exercise, while seeing the beautiful country side. With all that said, It was when I went to the movies on post that I got the truest sense of where my home was, they start movies over there with the national anthem. I am proud to be an American with all the good, bad and craziness that we are afforded. We have freedoms that we take for-granted. This country is amazing with all it's unique states, and natural wonders. You just have to go explore. It takes living out of this country to fully understand the many freedoms we really do have. I love the USA it's the best!
It is the meltingpot of the world. We are so fortunate to live here. It is always nice to travel and see other places but each time I leave I always get excited when it's time to come back HOME. |
