So, please send this warning along to everyone u know
If someone comes to your front door saying they are checking for ticks due to the hot weather and asks you to take your clothes off and dance around with your arms up, DON'T DO IT! IT'S A SCAM! They only want to see you naked.

A few friends of mine have tried to sell things on E-bay and they were contacted by people claiming to be mid-eastern gents. In addition to the price being asked for the goods sold, they were askeing my friends to hold on to £1,000 to be forwarded to another account at a later date. They were asked for their bank details to put the money into their accounts. Needless to say they terminated the calls and reported them to the police. |

The latest that seems to be around is to receive a call from someone who says you have been awarded whatever - can range from money, holidays, whatever, and in order to claim to return the call. They give a premium rate number to reply to.
Fortunately am aware but feel sorry for the older generation - whoops I am one - who do reply and get caught out. |

I got a card through my letterbox saying i had a parcel from overseas to be delivered and to phone a premium rate number to arrange delivery.
I sent the card to trading standards. |

I got a call from a guy telling me that i had been approved for an $8000 check from the government for some tax thing, but he needed my checking account routing number to pay me. I hung up on him, called my bank and called the police. This guy had almost all my information, name, address, phone number. Nothing ever came of it, which is good. |

So I can receive the funds and transfer their share on! Undoubtedly it works on some people or this would not continue. |
