My husband drinks coffee or Coke. I usually drink Diet Coke. I work with children, and they usually do a great job keeping me awake. |

Get your blood flowing! Don't laugh, but sometimes I jump up and down, do breathing exersizes, or drink some cold water. A physical change can stimulate the brain. I swear, it wakes you up! And, of course, there's always coffee. :) |

Sleep sufficiently at night. Get fresh air at work, if you can. Eat breakfast. Exercise in the morning. Allow yourself some chocolate in the afternoon.
If it persists, consider that you might not be challenged enough at work and see a doctor. |

Is this happening regularly?
Are you getting enough daily sleep? and, you quality of sleep?
Knowing the root cause to your feeling sleepy at work would help to hazzard a guess to what to do.
Moving around helps to keep oneself awake. |

You might try a trick that some commercial truck drivers use to stay alert. Eat an apple, with honey. It doesn't have to be dipped in honey, I've gotten very good results with only a few drops on each bite. I'd guess about 2 tea spoons of honey for one good size apple. |

Sometimes eating a high-carb meal causes you to get sleepy -OR- the lack of stimulation causes you to get bored/tired quickly.
try: coffee, a short walk around the building or around the block, some exercise, stretches, talking to someone, etc. |

eat an apple or banana and then some nuts to get the nutrients moving/absorbed through your body. but not salted or roasted, they have to be raw to get any nutrition. the oils wreck all the goodness when they get roasted. weird, huh? |
