Before approaching anyone with the idea, document it in as much detail as possible. Its worth spending a bit of time on this. Besides the mechanics of the idea, also elaborate on what makes your idea unique or valuable.
If you don't already have a lawyer (either family or business), get one. Submit your documents to the lawyer, and either the lawyer or a public notary will notarise it, and confirm receipt and acceptance of safe-keeping of the documents.
Ask your lawyer to draft a Non-disclosure Agreement, which you can use if we share the idea with anyone else. But think carefully before taking this step. |

The first thing you should do is write or type out your idea, seal it in an envelope and mail it to yourself, do NOT open it, and put it in a safe if you have one. Or keep it in a safe spot. This is your proof that it was your idea, with the date on the envelope! I can't help you with anything else though, sorry and good luck!! |
