just had it to your manager. i hope you gave 2 weeks notice. it helps with furture job apps.
i handed mine into a shift manager, and i got called in by the head manager to go to work, i told him i passed in my resignation (and why), to so and so.
he was not happy. but that's the shift managers fault not mine. |

Find out if you have a human resourses section within your company. They need to have it, but as already said I would tell your immediate manager first out of courtesy. |

To be as professional as possible, I would give a copy to both your manager as well as Head Office (Human Resources). On the letter to HR, I would show at the bottom that you have CC'd a copy to the manager as well. Do the same for the Manager so he/she knows HR has also received a copy. You want to be sure that everyone is clear on your departure, after all, if you're leaving on good terms, you'll probably want a reference letter of some sort in the future. Never want to burn any bridges!
